Taking Decisions

Expressing Decisions

To express decisions, we use modal verbs like "will," "shall," "can," "could," "may," and "might." These verbs indicate the intention or possibility of taking a particular action.

For example:

  • "I will do whatever it takes to become famous."

  • "She might audition for a talent show to start her career."

Making Firm Decisions

To express firm decisions, we often use the modal verbs "will" or "shall" followed by the base form of the verb. These verbs show determination and commitment.

For instance:

  • "I will pursue my dreams of fame relentlessly."

  • "He shall dedicate his time and energy to honing his skills."

Discussing Possibilities

When discussing decisions that involve possibilities or uncertainties, we use modal verbs such as "can," "could," "may," and "might." These verbs indicate the potential or likelihood of taking a specific action.

For example:

  • "I may consider taking acting classes to improve my chances."

  • "She could explore various opportunities to get noticed."

Expressing Intentions

To express intentions, we use phrases like "plan to," "intend to," or "aim to." These phrases indicate a purposeful decision to take a specific course of action.

For instance:

  • "I plan to audition for upcoming talent shows."

  • "He intends to build connections within the industry."

Remember to use appropriate modal verbs and phrases to convey your decisions clearly. Practice constructing sentences that reflect your determination and commitment to pursuing fame. By doing so, you'll become more proficient in expressing your dreams and ambitions effectively.
