El going to en positivo también se usa para expresar predicciones basadas en pruebas. No son planes ni intenciones, pero se puede usar en estos casos, ya que el going to es una forma de futuro más flexible que otras formas de futuro.

Estructura going to en negativo
Para construir el «going to» en negativo hay que insertar la partícula –not entre el «to be» en presente y el «going to». Igual que en positivo, el «to be» también se adapta a la persona y el «going to» y el infinitivo son siempre iguales.

- I am not going to have time to do this – No voy a tener tiempo de hacer esto.
- She is not going to do her homework – Ella no va a hacer sus deberes.
- We are not going to buy the house – Nosotros no vamos a comprar la casa.
- They are not going to eat all that food – Ellos no van a comerse toda esa comida.
Estructura going to en interrogación
Para formar preguntas con el going to hay que alterar el orden. Como siempre cuando se formulan preguntas en inglés. El verbo to be va al principio, y a continuación va el sujeto.
