English B1 Course: Intermediate
In this English course you will learn how to correctly use connectors, modal verbs, future tense forms, perfect tense forms, phrasal verbs, and other important topics in your learning.
What you will learn
Connectors: As students progress to B1 level, they are expected to acquire a more solid understanding of addition, contrast and cause and effect connectors used to combine ideas and structure sentences and paragraphs.
Differences between words: At this level, students should begin to understand the subtleties and differences in the meaning and use of similar words, such as synonyms, antonyms or related terms. This allows them to expand their vocabulary and use words more accurately.
Modal verbs: Modal verbs are an important part of English and play a fundamental role in the expression of abilities, possibilities, permissions, obligations, etc. At B1 level, students are expected to have a solid knowledge of modal verbs and their use in different contexts.
Future tense: At B1 level, students are expected to acquire knowledge of other forms and structures for expressing the future tense, such as the future continuous and the future with "going to". This allows them to talk about events and actions that will take place in the future.
Perfect tenses: Perfect tenses, such as the present perfect or past perfect and future perfect, are fundamental in narrating past experiences and connecting the past to the present. At B1 level, students should have a solid understanding of these perfect tenses.
Conditionals: You will learn about zero, first and second conditionals; their structure and use.
Tag questions: In this lesson you will learn what tag questions are, how to use them and some examples.
Phrasal verbs: You will learn what a phrasal verb is and some examples.
Passive voice: Passive voice is a grammatical construction in which the subject of a sentence receives the action of the verb.
Embedded questions: An embedded question, also known as an indirect question, is a type of question that is included within another sentence or statement.
Correlative conjunctions: Correlative conjunctions are pairs of conjunctions that work together to connect words, phrases, or clauses in a sentence.

The B1 level course we have developed is aimed at students of English who already have basic knowledge of the language and wish to reach an intermediate level.
